Working as a professional in academic medicine, Julie functions in her day-to-day with practicality: rules, science, and structure. She loves to learn, build, and get her hands on things and doesn’t stop working until they are excellent— often, perhaps, to the detriment of her pursuit of balance.

Photography is an avenue for her to meaningfully interact with the life as it happens around her. A documentation of the world that she finds beautiful, and an exercise in trust by those she photographs. She considers it a privilege to develop a style of documenting her experiences.
